What is Live The South?
Live The South is a Spanish immersion project designed for adults who want to experience real Andalusian life while developing confidence in spoken Spanish.
Rather than offering a traditional language school experience, Live The South focuses on communication, everyday interaction and meaningful contact with the local community. Courses take place in Écija, a non-touristy town in the heart of Andalusia, where Spanish is used naturally in daily life.
This project was created to offer something different: a slower, more human and more authentic way of learning Spanish.
A communicative and human approach
At the heart of Live The South is a strong belief that languages are learned by using them — not by memorising rules or completing endless exercises.
Lessons are:

Grammar is introduced only when it helps communication, and correction is handled carefully so that students feel supported rather than judged.
The people behind the project
Live The South is run by an experienced language teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 13 years managing independent language schools across 3 towns in the provinces of Seville and Córdoba.
While this is a new international project, it is built on many years of classroom experience, working with both adult and young learners, and creating supportive learning environments.
As a small, independent initiative, students are guided personally throughout the process — from initial contact to their time in the classroom.

Rather than offering packaged “tourist activities”, the aim is to facilitate real participation in local life whenever possible. Some activities depend on the season, availability or minimum participant numbers, and others may involve an additional cost.
